Your child’s first visit

Through their early developmental years, your child’s mouth goes through a lot of changes. It is important to visit us every six months from 2 years of age to promote good dental health habits and to receive dental education and preventative treatment.

Caring for your child’s dental health is one of the best things you can do for your child. Healthy adult teeth start from healthy childhood teeth and the benefits of caring for your children’s teeth last a lifetime.

It is important to have dental checks every 6 months from 2 years of age to establish and maintain good dental health habits and to ensure your child doesn’t ever suffer from tooth-ache.

Your child’s first visit to the dentist will shape the way they view dental treatment for the rest of their life. We strive to make their first dental experiences relaxed, enjoyable and fun to ensure a lifelong positive approach to dental hygiene and health.

The five dont’s of dental visits

1. Don’t tell your child to be brave (they already are)

2. Don’t bribe your child

3. Don’t tell your child that it won’t hurt (or that it will)

4. Don’t use the dentist as a deterrent or punishment

5. Don’t be anxious yourself!
